Tide brings “Chaunk Gaye” proposition and signature “swoosh” to Tide Pods ad

The ad is a YouTube pre-roll and focuses on the Tide Pods product proposition: bleach, lighten and refresh clothes.

Tide has released a new campaign for its Tide PODs product. The short ad is a pre-roll YouTube ad and in this ad we see the Tide POD moving over a stained item of clothing with the “Swoosh” brand signature, removing the stains. The ad copy focuses on the product proposition of bleaching, brightening and refreshing clothes.

We have seen the “swoosh” used in the past in Tide ads with a packet moving quickly over a person’s stained clothing to bleach them and create a contrast between the clean part of the garment cleaned by Tide and the other dirty parts. .

Ariel also recently launched Ariel PODs in India. P&G India is pioneering the creation of a new segment within the Laundry category, by introducing single-use tablets called PODs.

In many countries around the world, laundry PODs are already popular as the most convenient way to do laundry. The Ariel 3in1 PODs, launched very recently in India, are pre-dosed washing capsules filled with concentrated liquid detergent. Ariel 3in1 PODs are 3-chamber PODs providing consumers with a 3in1 HD Clean benefit – cleaning, stain removal and brightness.

Like Ariel’s Laundry PODs, Tide PODs are also only available on ecommerce platforms. Tide promises whiteness, shine and stain removal. One Tide POD can be used to clean a load of laundry, and their social media marketing posts and images seem very similar to the creative content Ariel uses on her social media channels.
